Nicky’s husband, John, announced he wanted a divorce, claiming he was “tired” of their life and wanted to be with someone “beautiful and gorgeous.” Nicky, furious, refused to sign the divorce papers and vowed he wouldn’t get any of their money.
John, however, used their joint savings for a trip to Mexico, mocking her for being dependent on him. He left, expecting Nicky would eventually beg for a divorce. Nicky, heartbroken but determined, stayed strong.

But Nicky had the last laugh. Maddison was her friend’s daughter, who had helped Nicky gather evidence against John. Furious, John threatened revenge, but Nicky kicked him out. She later divorced him, with their children fully supporting her and ridiculing John’s actions. Nicky and Maddison celebrated their successful plan over tea.
